How many years have you worked in the travel industry?
23 years. I went to travel school in 1996 and started working that same year.
How many years have you worked at Dynamic Travel & Cruises?
I have worked with Dynamic Travel & Cruises off-and-on since 1999 but am currently full-time with them.
What motivates you to come to wake up and come to work each day?
I love this industry. I chose it at the age of 9 and planned and booked our family vacation that same year. The idea of sending people on new adventures, to all over the world is exciting to me. Someone asks me if I’m free to do something and I say, “sorry I have to work”. But I’m actually happy about it. I got a head injury on my day off this week and the first thing I said to my husband was I’m glad it was on a day off.
What are your travel areas of expertise?
Most of all is Disney. Anything and everything Disney. Very experienced in it. You will be very hard pressed to find someone who knows more regarding Disney travel and Disney in general. Also Universal theme parks as well. Hawaii, England, Paris, I lived in the Netherlands. Most my European expertise is Northern and the UK. I have traveled to Japan, and a few of the Caribbean islands as well. Major US states I’ve been traveling to them heavily for several years now. All through the west coast LA, San Fran, San Diego, Anaheim (of course) Portland, Eugene, Seattle, the SW all of NM (grew up in Santa Fe), all of AZ (lived there), Las Vegas (I work there every year), New Orleans (born there), Chicago (work there every year too), all of Florida, Kansas and Colorado have been frequent stops for work as well.
What are your favorite places to travel?
Hard to choose just one. Walt Disney World for theme parks.
Chicago, Europe, London, Tokyo and the rest of the world!
What travel destinations are on your bucket list?
Iceland, or, Hong Kong. But mostly I want to go see places I love with my husband who hasn’t been there yet.
