In between are Norwegian Aura with a three-deck waterslide complex, Hero of the Seas with the most pools in the Royal Caribbean fleet, Viking Astrea running on hydrogen, Oceania Sonata launching an all-new luxury class, and Disney Believe with Tinker Bell on the bow. Add it up and 2027 puts more than 27,100 lower berths in the water — about 4% more global capacity. Inaugural seasons are the one time a ship sails with no reviews, no wear, and a full crew still learning your name. They’re also the first cabins to disappear: Oceania Sonata beat Allura’s opening-day booking record by 45%, and discounting on maiden-season dates comes last, if at all.
