Day 1 – May 11, 2022 – Arrive and check-in

Day 2: May 12, 2022 – Travel from Calgary to Banff

On the way we visit the Heritage Park Historical Village – Discover How the West was Once at Canada’s largest living history museum, Heritage Park Historical Village. This 127-acre attraction is home to the year-round Gasoline Alley Museum and is nestled on the banks of the Glenmore Reservoir with the picturesque backdrop of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Meet friendly townsfolk in full period costume as you stroll down the wooden boardwalks or pop into any number of working shops, businesses or homes.
National Parks Pass – Your admission to Canadian national parks is included in your package. Your pass is only valid for the number of days that you have booked accommodation in a National Park through Rocky Mountaineer.

Sightseeing Tour: Banff & Yoho National Parks – Depart by motorcoach for your full-day tour of Banff and Yoho National Park. Yoho National Park offers magnificent natural wonders like the Spiral Tunnels, the turquoise serene waters of Emerald Lake and a natural Rock Bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. After checking in at your Lake Louise hotel, the remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure for you to explore the breathtaking surroundings of Lake Louise.

Overnight at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise – Surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier and a glistening emerald lake, the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel is located in Alberta’s Banff National Park. Day 5: May 15, 2022 – Transfer to the Rocky Mountaineer for your train ride from Lake Louise to Kamloops

Coach Transfer Lake Louise Hotel to Station. Please ensure your luggage is clearly labeled with your name and contact information. Please note you are not required to wait in your room. Guests at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise: Hotel staff will collect your luggage from INSIDE the door of your hotel room 90 minutes prior to your scheduled Pick-Up Time. Guests at the Lake Louise Inn: Hotel staff will collect your luggage from INSIDE the door of your hotel room 60 minutes prior to your scheduled Pick-Up Time. A Rocky Mountaineer Host will greet you at the designated location within the hotel. If you did not take advantage of our Advance Rail
Check-In service, the Destination Host will be happy to process your check-in at this time where you will receive your boarding pass, information on your Kamloops accommodation, and luggage tags. We will then direct you to your motorcoach transfer and accompany you to the station.
You will arrive in Kamloops between 6:30pm and 8:00pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city, or relaxing in your hotel. Please note you will not disembark at Lake Louise.
Coach Transfer: Kamloops Station to Your Hotel – Upon arrival at the Kamloops Station, you will be transferred by motorcoach to your overnight accommodation.
Kamloops Accommodation
Upon check-in for your train departure you will receive a boarding pass which will indicate your Kamloops accommodation. Your accommodation in Kamloops will be of a moderate standard, but will include all the essential amenities to make your stay comfortable.
Day 6: May 16, 2022 – Train ride from Kamloops to Vancouver
Coach Transfer: Your Hotel to Kamloops Station
Early this morning, you will be transferred by motorcoach to the station from your hotel. Your pick-up times will be provided with your final travel documents.
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 7:35am PT. On today’s journey west, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley.
Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard.
You will arrive in Vancouver between 6:00pm and 7:30pm PT.

Motorcoach Transfer: Vancouver Station to Hotel
Board your private motorcoach and transfer to your Vancouver hotel, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Day 7: May 17, 2022 – All Day Exploring Vancouver

Sightseeing Tour:
- North Shore – Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver’s spectacular North Shore with breath taking views of the city, ocean and surrounding mountains. Highlights include the 137 metre (450 feet) Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Grouse Mountain Skyride.
- Capilano Suspension Bridge – Take a walk across the 137 metres (450 feet) long and 70 metres (230 feet) high bridge perched above the Capilano Canyon then stroll along Treetops Adventure, seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you above the forest floor for a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal rainforest.
- Grouse Mountain – Take a gondola to the apex of Grouse Mountain, climbing to 4,100 feet above sea level. At the summit, take in the incredible views of Vancouver and the Pacific Ocean.
Day 8: May 18, 2022 – Return Home

Cancellation Penalties;
- March 5 – 27, 2022 : 50% of itinerary price is non-refundable
- March 28 – May 11, 2022 : 100% of itinerary price is non-refundable
- If Rocky Mountaineer is forced to suspend departures due to covid, as they did in 2020, then they will offer FTCs for at least the full amount and possibly 10% more (or 110% total) as they did in 2020.
